Coach Dylan Strom leads the Elmira Jr. Aviators Academy 16U AAA program, bringing a powerful blend of NCAA coaching experience, elite skills development, and proven leadership. His coaching philosophy is rooted in structure, accountability, and professionalism —setting a strong foundation for long-term player development.

Strom previously served as an Assistant Coach at NCAA Division I Michigan State University and worked as a skills coach with TPH Colorado, one of the nationʼs premier hockey development organizations. His experience working with athletes in the critical 15–18 age range gives him a clear understanding of how to prepare players for junior and collegiate hockey.

In addition to his coaching background, Strom spent 14 years in the Air National Guard as a C-130H Loadmaster, completing six combat deployments and logging more than 1,600 flight hours. The discipline, leadership, and communication required in military aviation directly influence the culture he brings to the rink.

Coach Stromʼs player-first mindset and commitment to daily consistency make him a key leader within the Academy and an ideal mentor for developing student-athletes.
